Ongoing Efforts

The work of Unita Blackwell and heroes like her is far from complete. The Voting Rights Act of 1965 and other safeguards are under relentless attack. Gerrymandering and vote restrictions still plague the nation, and race-based wealth disparities remain at historic levels, years after the tenure of our nation’s first Black president.  In the spirit of Unita Blackwell's ongoing struggle for equality this website provides news and media relating to her effort.
